The serene attraction of Martha Brae is only a mere twenty miles from Montego Bay and a just a bit further to Ocho Rios. “Rafter’s Village”, is the embarkation area which encompasses six acres of beautifully manicured lawns situated on a natural island. This recreational facility includes picnic grounds, a full service bar, souvenir shops and of course a swimming pool. Before taking the tour, guests can also take a stroll through “Miss Martha’s Herb Garden”, a natural display of Jamaica’s herbs famous for their medicinal and healing properties.
The raft ride is operated over a three mile stretch of the beautiful Martha Brae River and lasts approximately one hour.
Encompassing 180 meters of gently terraced waterfalls, Dunn’s River Falls is one of Jamaica’s most famous natural attractions. The falls tumble over rocks and limestone ledges into the sea. You can climb the natural tiers to the top of the falls with the aid of a guide or just chill off in the refreshing pools at the base. It’s a good idea to wear water shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet. There is also a beach that the falls flows into.
